WEBINAR | 10 November 2021

SIMULATION OF OIL MANAGEMENT FOR TRANSMISSIONS USING MPS

Date: 10 November 2021
Timetable: 14.00 - 15.00 (GMT+1)
Speakers: Simon Harbeke (EnginSoft GmbH), Mattia Porchetta (TREMEC)
Language: English

The Moving Particle Simulation is an efficient meshless CFD method to simulate sloshing, free-surface flows and liquid jets. The particle-based lagrangian approach does not require a computational grid. This allows to streamline and speed-up the overall simulation process for applications with complex geometries and moving parts which is an advantage for developing spray-cooling of E-Drives and optimizing the lubrication of gearboxes and more complex transmission systems.

In this webinar EnginSoft welcomes Mattia Porchetta, oil management engineer from Tremec in Belgium. He will provide us with industry insights about the role of simulation on how to improve the oil management in transmissions for high performance applications.

Focus Topic: Oil management in transmissions and simulation driven design.

This event is free of charge: registration is required to attend.
Registered participants will receive the link and credentials to participate at the email address provided during registration.

INTERNATIONAL CAE CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION 2021

Date: 17 - 19 November 2021
Official web site: www.caeconference.com

For 37 years, the International CAE Conference and Exhibition has striven to provide exhaustive and up-to-date information regarding both the technologies available for engineering simulation, and the knowledge necessary for their use (where, when, why, and how to use them successfully). Over the past few years, the International CAE Conference has broadened its focus to include the interactions with the other technologies that enable the digital transformation.

The 2021 edition will focus on the trends, technologies, issues and how-to’s of sustainable and successful digital transformation and the key role that engineering simulation has to play in achieving the desired outcome.

In this webinar EnginSoft welcomes Tobias Moll, research assistant from the Institute for combustion engines at RWTH Aachen University. He will provide us with industry insights about the role of simulation for efficiency, lubrication and heat management for transmissions with Integrated electrical machines. The hydraulic losses of a single-speed transmission were simulated using Particleworks and validated against experiments.
